The good thing about old age

The good thing about old age

(Kadamba Kanana Swami, 27 December 2012, Cape Town, South Africa, Srimad Bhagavatam 8.6.39) When Srila Prabhupada was preaching, he mentioned to the young hippies, “I’m an old man and all of you, don’t think that it won’t happen to you. You will also have to become old.” Then someone said, “That’s okay, we don’t mind getting old!”

Impressions on the consciousness

Impressions on the consciousness

(Kadamba Kanana Swami, 8 December 2011, Durban South Africa, Srimad Bhagavatam 11.22.6) Only working for Krsna is also not easy because after a little while, we start to experience that working for Krsna can be a burden. It may also not work. So, we must hear because without hearing, life is dry. I have a phone like most modern

Eagerness for initiation

Eagerness for initiation

(Kadamba Kanana Swami, 6 January 2013, Lenasia, South Africa, Sunday Feast Lecture) And they say, “Yeah, I want to be (initiated). You know, I’m trying… but the relationship with my Guru is not really going anywhere. I mean, you know, he doesn’t talk to me so much.” No! Again, the responsibility is with the disciple.

Simultaneously one and many

Simultaneously one and many

(Kadamba Kanana Swami, 30 December 2012, Cape Town, South Africa, Sunday Feast Lecture) Srila Prabhupada many times addressed mayavadi impersonalists because as soon as you go shopping in the marketplace of spirituality all around the world, here it is again, “It’s all one.” But actually, it is not all one! In one way, yes it

Have a little courage

Have a little courage

(Kadamba Kanana Swami, 6 January 2013, Lenasia, South Africa, Sunday Feast Lecture) I have one disciple who is very sincere and who has a problem with stammering. So you can just imagine how long it takes to chant sixteen rounds. But this devotee took the vows and is chanting sixteen rounds. And the stammering, sometimes it’s worse, sometimes

HH Kadamba Kanana Swami Departs

Dear Devotees

On Thursday 9th March at 12.06pm, under the gaze of Śrī Giriraja, in the holy land of Śrī Vṛndāvana dhāma, in the loving company of his spiritual master and the vaisnavas, with a resounding kirtan party, His Holiness Kadamba Kanana Swami departed from this material realm.

"Intelligent persons who take shelter of beautiful Vrndavana's opulent vines melting with motherly love, and throw far away the idea that they are material, become supremely successful, both in this life and also after death." (Prabhodananda Saraswati, Vrindavana Mahimamrta)
