A vision of ourselves

A vision of ourselves

(Kadamba Kanana Swami, 30 March 2014, Cape Town, South Africa, Sunday Lecture) That is the essence of the Bhagavad-gita – that it can lift us way beyond our expectations, way beyond anything that we thought we could be. And that is spiritual life too. That is why we need a spiritual master. A spiritual master is basically

Take it as it comes

Take it as it comes

(Kadamba Kanana Swami, 2010, Melbourne, Australia) I was thinking of the bull, Dharma. When Dharma’s legs were broken by Kali, Kali was standing there next to the bull with a stick in its hands. Maharaj Parikshit arrives on the spot and says, “Who did this!?” And the bull says, “It’s hard to say. It’s hard

Don’t be a hard-head!

Don’t be a hard-head!

(Kadamba Kanana Swami, 30 March 2014, Cape Town, South Africa, Srimad Bhagavatam 10.39.39) Spiritual life is like that – there is always a higher standard and there is always another level of realization. Priceless

Priceless

(Kadamba Kanana Swami, 19 December 2011, Cape Town, South Africa, Srimad Bhagavatam 7.13.46) When Krsna puts jewels on his body, the jewels get more beautiful. Usually it’s the other way around, you know what I mean, but in the case of Krsna, the jewels get more beautiful. Therefore devotees are interested in Krsna. In Jiva

HH Kadamba Kanana Swami Departs

Dear Devotees

On Thursday 9th March at 12.06pm, under the gaze of Śrī Giriraja, in the holy land of Śrī Vṛndāvana dhāma, in the loving company of his spiritual master and the vaisnavas, with a resounding kirtan party, His Holiness Kadamba Kanana Swami departed from this material realm.

"Intelligent persons who take shelter of beautiful Vrndavana's opulent vines melting with motherly love, and throw far away the idea that they are material, become supremely successful, both in this life and also after death." (Prabhodananda Saraswati, Vrindavana Mahimamrta)
