The African preaching projects in South Africa connect the African community to the teachings by Srila Prabhupada and Krishna consciousness. It is through the hard work and dedication of the individual project leaders that will make these efforts successful. Manukanya and Atmatattva (WUSA) engages interested students in a Krishna conscious life style. Narottama (Klerksdorp) provides food and spiritual shelter to the elderly. The Soweto Ratha Yatra festival brings the temple to the streets of Soweto and the temple residents in Hammanskraal hold regular programs for their guests. And last, but certainly not least, the Bhakti Yoga Society reaches out to students on the university campuses.
Peacock Foundation
To oversee, promote and guide the WUSA, Klerksdorp, Hammanskraal, Soweto RY and BYS projects, Kadamba Kanana Swami appointed Vibhu Caitanya to continue these important projects. And together they set up a not-for-profit trust called “Peacock Tree NPC”. This trust handles the legal and financial aspects of managing African preaching. And the funding is provided by the Kadamba Foundation.
Report
The Peacock Tree NPC publishes regular reports on the preaching impact each project makes, their goals, finances and the latest developments. We invite you to read the latest report of Feb/Mar 2026.
