The Christian concept of God is some sort of God is love, God is all benevolent and is kind of like an entity which is bless, bless , and good to all. He is kind and blessing to all. And India many deities are worshipped for some kind of blessing. But Krishna is not like

Krishna gives the mercy to all, no one is exempted from the mercy of Krishna , so giving mercy to all is our mission , to do that one must work around the clock all the time , one must and even when one is resting ,one minimizes that , we must develop this sense

Even when you put Krishna in front of them they cannot think, simply presenting the all all- attractive Krishna but cannot focus. Here is Krishna but they are thinking of other things. The mind is in fifty different places. Prabhupada was forcing people to concentrate to pay attention to go beyond the modes of material

So the idea of the mantra is that it can deliver the mind, it can free the mind from all kinds of entanglement because it is said in the 11th Canto Srimad Bhagavatam that somehow or other this world is full of objects and the nature of the mind is to go into the objects
