Our annual day of remembrance

The tirobhava or disappearance festival, is a sacred annual gathering dedicated to celebrating the life, teachings, and enduring legacy of Kadamba Kanana Swami. Held in the spiritually significant town of Vrindavan, the festival serves as a collective expression of love and gratitude for a teacher who touched the lives of many. It is a time for disciples, devotees, and well-wishers to come together to honor a legacy built upon love, wisdom, and service.

Kadamba Kanana Swami was deeply connected to Vrindavan, where he was held in high regard and loved by the local residents. This connection makes the town the heart of the festival, particularly the Vaisnava Samadhi garden area at the Bhaktivedanta Swami Goshala, where the main commemoration takes place. For his followers, the festival is not just a memorial but a vital opportunity to strengthen the spiritual fabric of their community and ensure that his vision continues to thrive.

The festival experience is centered on bhajans, kirtan, and heartfelt glorifications by senior Vaisnavas and disciples, creating a meditative and uplifting atmosphere. A cornerstone of the event is the tradition of prasadam distribution, which serves as a meaningful tribute to his life. By participating in these rituals and sharing a feast in the spirit of unity, attendees help preserve his teachings for generations to come, upholding the spiritual values he championed throughout his life

To understand the mission of a spiritual teacher, one can think of a lighthouse. While the light itself (the teacher) may eventually pass from view, the beam it cast continues to guide travelers. This festival act as the lighthouse keepers, ensuring the lamp remains lit and the path stays clear for everyone following behind.

DONATE

In the Vaishnava tradition, prasadam distribution is an integral part of commemorating special occasions, and feeding brahmanas is of great spiritual importance. This feast will help to keep the memory of our Guru Maharaja alive among the residents of Vrindavan. Gurudeva was deeply connected to Vrindavan, where he was known and loved by so many.

As disciples, it is our responsibility and privilege to ensure that his legacy continues. This is a wonderful opportunity to serve by contributing. The estimated cost for the tirobhava festival lunch feast is approx. 3500-4000 euro.  No donation is too small—whatever you can offer will help make this event successful.
