The story of Ṭoṭā-gopīnātha

The story of Ṭoṭā-gopīnātha

(Kadamba Kanana Swami, 13 April 2020, Durban, South Africa, Caitanya Caritamrta Lecture: Deities) In Jagannatha Puri, besides the deity of Lord Jagannatha, there is another famous deity which was the Gopinatha deity of Gadadhara known as Ṭoṭā-gopīnātha. We had just described in the Caitanya Caritamrta that Gadadhara had taken a vow of ksetra-sanyasi. The vow

Criticising? Think again!

Criticising? Think again!

(Kadamba Kanana Swami, 1 June 2020, Radhadesh, Belgium, Caitanya Caritamrta Lecture: Disrespecting Vaisnavas) Once one engages in criticising Vaisnavas, it becomes part of one’s nature. One will do it again and again until ultimately one offends Krsna! Once one engages in criticising Vaisnavas, it becomes part of one’s nature. It sets in and one will

Her love for Krsna is not casual. It is not love that you put on the shelf and sometimes take it off and

Attracting Krsna to us!

Attracting Krsna to us!

(Kadamba Kanana Swami, 21 August 2020, Radhadesh, Belgium, Serving devotees and Srimati Radharani Lecture) More so than us becoming attracted to Krsna, let us do something that attracts Krsna to us! Devotional service is about attracting Krsna. It is not just about us getting attracted to Krsna. In the beginning, we think that devotional service

Only a drop of faith

Only a drop of faith

(Kadamba Kanana Swami, 4 August 2020, Radhadesh, Belgium, Last Journey to London Notes) The sraddha-bindu, the drop of faith that we get from the devotees, is the greatest possession of a devotee. The main thing about a devotee is his deep faith in Krsna. As a result, he has no faith in anything else. Having

HH Kadamba Kanana Swami Departs

Dear Devotees

On Thursday 9th March at 12.06pm, under the gaze of Śrī Giriraja, in the holy land of Śrī Vṛndāvana dhāma, in the loving company of his spiritual master and the vaisnavas, with a resounding kirtan party, His Holiness Kadamba Kanana Swami departed from this material realm.

"Intelligent persons who take shelter of beautiful Vrndavana's opulent vines melting with motherly love, and throw far away the idea that they are material, become supremely successful, both in this life and also after death." (Prabhodananda Saraswati, Vrindavana Mahimamrta)
