A winter month, in every sense.
June arrived with everything that usually slows outreach down. University exams, followed by the winter break. School holidays. Cold mornings in Klerksdorp. Competing month-end markets in Durban. If there was ever a month for things to go quiet, this was it. Instead, this is the month Klerksdorp brought back its Sunday Love Feast after seven months. This is the month Hammanskraal was accepted by Food for Life SA and gathered with its community to honour a departed Vaishnavi. This is the month around 120 students gave up a winter Saturday for a full day of Krishna consciousness at the BYS retreat. And through it all, WuSA House kept its doors open and its programmes running while the campus around it emptied out.
That is really the story of June. Not growth in numbers, but proof of roots. When the season turns against you and people still come, it means what is being built is holding.
